A 12-Minute Power Walking Home Workout

If you don’t have a lot of spare time to do any workouts, you might want to check out some of the home workouts that are available on YouTube because there are quite a few that are relatively short, but very effective.

One such workout is the 12-minute power walking workout from Jessica Smith because this can easily be performed at home, or even in the office, as it requires no equipment at all and very little space.

The good thing about this routine is that you are not just walking on the spot for 12 minutes. There are lots of other moves that will help you to improve your fitness, tone up your legs and maybe even lose weight.

In addition to the regular power walks that are interspersed throughout the workout, which basically involves walking at a fast pace on the spot, there are side steps, hamstring curls, high knees, figure-8 walks, double jacks, step heels and heel digs.

Therefore you are unlikely to get bored of performing this routine because there are so many different exercises to perform, and because the exercises are so varied, you will find that your legs (and indeed the whole of your lower body) will get a really good workout.

Plus as an added bonus, you can also watch the antics of Jessica’s dog in the background, which is entertaining in itself.

So overall this is an excellent workout if you are looking to tone up your legs and get in shape.

Of course there are many other workouts that are a lot more intense, but it is still strenuous enough to help you lose weight (if that is one of your goals), and because it is only 12 minutes long, you should be able to find time to perform this workout at some point during the day.
